Core was founded with a clear vision: to offer practical, straightforward consultancy that keeps clients informed and in control. With over 12 years of industry experience, we bring technical knowledge, clear communication, and a commitment to doing things properly.
Our team are experienced project managers and building surveyors working alongside developers, landlords, funds, occupiers and public bodies. Our technical expertise and focus on client care drives everything we do.
Why we started Core
Big consultancies have their place. But too often, clients get pushed from person to person, answers are slow, and everything feels a bit too distant.
We created Core for clients who want a straightforward, reliable partner—someone who stays involved, keeps things moving, and cares about the task in hand.
We work with clarity and keep to our word. If you ask a question, you’ll get an answer, not a holding email or a vague excuse.
Too many clients tell the same story: their old consultant disappeared halfway through the job, didn’t return calls, or handed off to someone junior who was not supported. That’s exactly what we set out to change when we started Core.

Oliver Shore, Director
Project Management
Oliver is a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with experience across infrastructure, industrial and education projects. Having worked as both a Project Manager and Director at a large consultancy, he focuses on keeping things straightforward—making sure projects are organised, decisions are clear, and nothing is left to drift from start to finish.
Paige Bannerman, Director
Cost Consultancy
Paige is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) with experience across large-scale industrial, infrastructure, commercial and BTR developments. With a background in Tier 1 main contracting and Director-level consultancy, she takes a practical approach to cost management—keeping figures clear, decisions informed, and making sure budgets work as they should in reality.
